Open Your Eyes

When Kevin over at LA Observed first linked to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's blog at the LA Times, I didn't really pay much attention - not because I don't like Kareem, but because I thought all the posts would be about sports, about which I know very little, and because it's at the LA Times, which I don't really associate with reliable, intellectual blogs.

But I happened to stumble onto the blog a few days ago, and I am HOOKED. What an amazing, interesting, and thoughtful writer...we are incredibly lucky to have him blogging for our hometown paper. Check it out if you have a minute.
