Just You Watch

Watch this. I promise it is worth your time.

Think it's overexaggerated? The Project for the New American Century is real. The individuals who signed onto the statement of purpose in 1997: Dick Cheney. Donald Rumsfeld. Paul Wolfowitz. I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby. Jeb Bush. Any of these names ring a bell?

The video in the above link lays out clearly what is not a secret: the decision-makers in power are driven by an insatiable greed for corporate profit. When discussing what is best for America, what they really mean is what is best for corporations, what is best for their campaign contributors. A Never-Ending War, the likes of which Orwell only imagined, is the engine they need to drive their economy.

If you are not afraid, you should be. As John Kerry said, there are 35-40 other countries with more of an ability to manufacture weapons of mass destruction than Iraq had when Bush began the war. Who's next?

Hi Ericka!

I couldn't open the video, but I understand where you're coming from.

Last winter I inadvertently stumbled into a Rebuild Iraq-type ( at the Alexandria Sheraton. After grabbing a bunch of DHL pens, and myriad brochures (for armored cars, bomb-proof trash cans, et) I was escorted out by some arab-speaking security guards.

By the end of the week I was informally interviewed in the elevator by a security company (that was looking for ex-Navy Seals and such); and I witnessed several members of the (then) new Iraqi cabinet having their pictures taken in front of a portrait of George Washington.

It was a surreal experience, I tell ya.

My view on the election -- I don't trust Kerry either, sorry.
